Denver, CO - Today, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the following statement in remembrance of the 15th anniversary of 9/11:

"Fifteen years ago, thousands of innocent lives were tragically ended in the terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. 9/11 was a horrific event that changed the course of our nation and the world. Just as they did 15 years ago, communities across the country of every background, faith, and ethnicity are coming together to honor the fallen and remind each other to never forget. Today, we celebrate the heroes that saved lives, memorialize the thousands of innocent lives lost, and recognize the sacrifice of those who protected our nation on that day and every day since."
