Highlight Ascent Solar's Plans to Create 200 New Jobs in Colorado

Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant Will Use ARRA-Extended Investment Tax Credit to Boost Business, Spur Job Creation

Thornton, CO - Today, Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, U.S. Senators for Colorado, visited and toured Ascent Solar Technologies in Thornton and discuss their efforts to create new jobs in Colorado's New Energy Economy.

At the event, Udall and Bennet highlighted the job-creating potential of the New Energy Economy as evidenced by Ascent Solar's plans to create up to 200 new jobs at its Thornton manufacturing facility.

They also discussed how clean energy companies like Ascent Solar are benefiting from renewable energy-related provisions from the Recovery Act to fuel job creation and economic growth in Colorado.
