Bennet: Bipartisan Senate Jobs Bill Will Cut Taxes for Small Businesses, Help Put Coloradans Back to Work

Senate Passes Fiscally-Responsible Jobs Bill, Measure Now Heads To President's Desk

Washington, DC - Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, released the following statement after voting in favor of the Jobs Bill. The bipartisan legislation, which was approved by the Senate on a 68 to 29 vote, cuts taxes for small businesses that begin hiring again and makes job-creating investments in local infrastructure without adding to the deficit:

"Nothing is more important right now than putting Americans back to work and cutting taxes for small businesses that create jobs," said Bennet. "The bill we passed today is good for Colorado -- it gives our small businesses the tax relief they need to invest in their companies, grow and create new jobs for Coloradans."

The Jobs Bill now goes to the President's desk, where it awaits his signature.
