Washington, D.C. - Colorado Senators Michael Bennet (D) and Cory Gardner (R) today announced Colorado Springs Municipal Airport will receive a $4.5 million grant and Pueblo Memorial Airport will receive a $2,057,620 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to rehabilitate taxiway and runway lighting.
"It's critical that our regional airports are able to complete their safety projects," Bennet said. "These grants will enable the Colorado Springs and Pueblo airports to maintain their infrastructure as they continue to serve our communities."
"These federal grants will help two of Colorado's largest airports ensure they can continue to safely serve the thousands of Coloradans that rely on them every day,"Gardner said. "I'm pleased the FAA awarded this money to Colorado and I'll continue to work with our local partners to see our state's airports expand and serve even more Coloradans in the future."
