Bennet Applauds Hitachi Data Systems Announcement

Hitachi Will Bring New Office to Douglas County, Create Hundreds of Jobs

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet applauded the announcement by Hitachi Data Systems that it will open a new office in Douglas County that is expected to employ between 300 and 500 individuals.

“This is great news for our state and underscores a pattern of tech companies choosing to relocate to Colorado, bringing hundreds of new jobs to the region,” Bennet said. “It is recognition that Colorado is an environment where innovative companies like Hitachi can thrive.”

Hitachi will enjoy a number of benefits at its new location, including its close proximity to Arrow Electronics, which relocated its headquarters to Arapahoe County last year. Hitachi and Arrow Electronics are sales and distribution partners. Additionally, United Airlines announced earlier this year that it would begin offering a daily flight from Denver to Tokyo, Japan, where Hitachi is headquartered.

Hitachi Data Systems is a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. The company is a maker of data storage technology and employs 5,800 people around the world.
