Bennet, Udall, DeGette to Hold Information Session for Denver Nonprofits

Senators Michael Bennet and Mark Udall and Congresswoman Diana DeGette will hold an information event on Wednesday, Jan. 30, for Denver-based nonprofits who serve minority populations. Mile High United Way and the U.S. Department of Labor also are cohosts of the informational event, to be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Mile High United Way, 2505 18th

"Nonprofits and community-based organizations throughout Colorado are hard at work making sure Coloradans have important resources available to them," Bennet said. "This workshop will help these organizations learn how to navigate federal agencies, find grant opportunities, and local resources to help fulfill their missions. It will also provide information about assistance our offices can provide during this process."St. in downtown Denver.

"Nonprofits play an important role in Denver and across Colorado in helping minority communities and other historically underserved populations get the tool they need to thrive," Udall said. "This forum will offer an opportunity for these organizations to connect with each other and the federal government to help Coloradans in need.

"One of the ways my office can help the Colorado nonprofit community is to ensure they have the information they need to access federal grants relevant to their mission and work," DeGette said. "This forum will ensure that those who are working hard every day to assist those in need in our community are aware of all the potential resources available to them."
