Bennet Continues 'Fighting for Colorado Families' - Will Meet with Rural Health Care Providers

Will Hear From Doctors, Administrators from Durango & Cortez on Health Care Needs of Small Towns and Rural Communities

Durango, CO - On Monday, August 17 at 2:45 pm in Durango, Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, will hold a roundtable discussion with health care providers from Durango and Cortez in an effort to ensure rural doctors, nurses and administrators have a seat at the table in the debate over health care reform.

Bennet will hear from the doctors on the need to improve access to care in rural areas, address the shortage of primary care physicians and other health care providers and including rural populations in efforts to remove barriers to access and use of clinical preventive services.
