Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the following statement in observance of Memorial Day, on Monday, May 28:

“From the time of the American Revolution, the men and women of our military have fought bravely for their country, many making the ultimate sacrifice.  They will be remembered by their family, friends and neighbors—and by the entire nation they served so nobly. It is our sacred duty to remember their sacrifices and embrace the families they’ve left behind.

“In a time when so many issues threaten to divide us, we are united by our love for our country, the freedom it provides and our unending gratitude to the men and women who have give their lives to defend it.”
