Washington, D.C. – Today, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s announcement that they will review the DAPA and expanded DACA programs:

“The Supreme Court’s review of DAPA and expanded DACA has the potential to relieve families from the risks of being torn apart and allow millions of immigrants to come out of the shadows and fully contribute to our country. We hope that the court upholds the executive actions, which are one partial and temporary fix for our broken system. To fully fix our immigration system for the long term, Congress must pass the bipartisan bill that won almost 70 votes in the Senate. It will enhance our border security and interior enforcement, strengthen our economy and give opportunities to families who came to America for a better life.”

In December of 2015, Bennet signed an amicus brief in support of the executive actions on immigration.
