Denver, CO – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the following statement after an announcement that the tragic shooting in Orlando was a terrorist attack:
“Coloradans’ hearts and minds are with Orlando and Florida in the aftermath of this terrorist attack, and we are outraged by the violence. We condemn the hatred of the shooter, and we pray for the victims and their families. We must continue to degrade terrorist groups’ ability to recruit, inspire, and train, including through social media. We must protect our communities from the threat of terrorists at home, and defeat the threat of terrorism abroad.”
