Washington, D.C. – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s order to partially reinstate the President’s travel ban:

“Today’s Supreme Court order recognizes that the President’s travel ban unjustifiably harms people with a bona fide connection to the United States,” Bennet said. “The order does not change the fact that the travel ban continues to contradict our nation’s proud history of welcoming people, regardless of religion, and does nothing to bolster our national security.”
