Bennet Announces Summer Internship Application Process

Internships Available in Colorado and Washington, DC Offices

DC Deadline is March 15

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet is accepting internship applications from undergraduate students, recent graduates, and graduate students for his Washington, DC and Colorado offices. In Colorado, internships are available year-round in the following locations: Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, and Pueblo.

Washington, DC interns attend hearings and briefings, research legislative issues, meet with Congressional officials and staff, conduct U.S. Capitol tours, and draft correspondence.

Colorado interns research legislative issues, draft correspondence, and support Constituent Advocates as they meet with and assist Coloradans who are having trouble navigating the federal government.

“Interns are an integral part of our office, providing essential support as we work to serve Coloradans,” Bennet said. “Our Colorado and Washington internship programs provide great opportunities to gain first-hand knowledge about issues that affect Coloradans. Interns receive an in-depth view of the legislative process and gain direct experience serving Colorado constituents, providing a unique experience for any young person interested in public service.”

Internships are available on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is an unpaid position. Interested students and recent graduates should apply online at deadline to apply for an internship in Washington for either summer session is March 15th. Summer internships are divided into two sessions: Session One: May 20th-July 3rd, and Session Two: July 7th-August 22nd.
