Bennet Remembers Victims, Families on 13th Anniversary of September 11th Terrorist Attacks

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet issued the following statement on the 13th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:

“Thirteen years ago, the country awoke to unimaginable terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. Today, we remember the innocent victims who tragically lost their lives. We stand beside the families and friends who continue to mourn their loved ones. We continue to offer the nation’s gratitude to the first responders who rushed in to the wreckage to save the lives of countless others. And we offer our unending support to the service members who put their lives on the line in the pursuit of justice.

“While our attackers had hoped we would run and hide, our country has formed an even stronger bond and sense of resiliency. That is still true today. In the face of new challenges around the world from those who seek to tear us down, we still stand united.”
