Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the following statement in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“Today, we reflect on the tragic and infamous events that changed our nation forever on that fateful September morning.

“Eleven years later, as we continue to recover and rebuild, the attacks have made us a stronger nation. They have brought Americans closer together and reminded us that the bonds that unite us are stronger than the issues that divide us. That’s how we can continue to honor those who lost their lives in these unimaginable terrorist attacks.”
