A provision sponsored by U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and Republican Senator Johnny Isakson to promote a more coordinated system of early learning and care programs is on its way to the President's desk as a part of the reauthorization of the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act.
Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today joined Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA), chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and Ranking Member Lamar Alexander (R-TN) to introduce a bill to speed the development of treatments and vaccines for Ebola.
The settlement, worked out by conservationists, the energy industry and community stakeholders, offers "a unique opportunity" to allow for responsible development of the plateau's natural resources and protection of sensitive wildlife habitat.
