Bennet, Gardner Announce $500,000 Grant for Colorado State University

USDA Grant Will Fund First National Evaluation of Farm to School Program

Colorado U.S. Senators Michael Bennet (D) and Cory Gardner (R) today announced that Colorado State University has received $499,420 in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to conduct the first national evaluation of the Farm to School program. The grant is part of a $17.9 million investment from USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) to improve sustainable agriculture and help rural communities thrive.
U.S. Senators Michael Bennet (D-CO) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) today pressed Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke to respect local input and years-long collaborative efforts on land management plans to prevent an Endangered Species Act listing for the Greater Sage-grouse. Such a listing would harm land users by creating unpredictability for ranchers, conservationists, sportsmen, and industry.
